Solutions for Cosmetic Concerns

Your teeth are one of the most prominent features of your smile. Imperfections, no matter how insignificant they might seem, can have a major cosmetic impact. Issues such as small chips, tiny cracks, little spaces, and minor overlapping can all cause your smile to suffer. Teeth that vary slightly in size or shape can also have a significant effect.

You do not have to live with minor flaws in your smile. We can treat these flaws with what are known as veneers. Veneers are solely a cosmetic treatment and are meant to treat those teeth visible when you smile. They are both very small and incredibly thin. When bonded to the imperfect teeth, they effectively obscure the flaws, rendering them invisible. Instead, all others see when you smile is perfect teeth and a gorgeous smile.

Veneers can be made from a couple of different materials. Ceramic, however, is often the material of choice, due to its more realistic appearance. When ceramic veneers are created, we can match them to seamlessly blend in with the rest of your teeth. Additionally, ceramic mimics your tooth enamel. No one will be able to tell the veneers from your actual teeth.

In addition to providing a perfect match, ceramic is both strong and stain-resistant. Taking proper care of your veneers is essential for ensuring their longevity. When you take good care of them, they can last upwards of 20 years or even longer.

What is the Veneers Process Like?

To place your ceramic veneers, we first need to prepare the damaged teeth. This process involves removing a thin portion of the enamel from the affected teeth. While it is only a small amount, doing so ensures that your veneers will fit and feel both natural and comfortable in your mouth. We first give you a local anesthetic, which helps to ensure your comfort during the process.

The next step after preparing the teeth is to take an impression. This impression is then sent to our lab. There, your custom ceramic veneers are created. After they have been returned, we check them on your teeth to make sure they fit correctly. Your bite and smile are assessed. We then use dental cement to bond them securely to your teeth. Your smile is instantly improved.
