Most dental insurance plans cover 100% of preventive cleanings and exams.
Dental Fillings
Have a cavity? Dr. Boustany uses tooth-colored composite fillings that blend seamlessly with your natural teeth. Composite restorations bond directly to your tooth, preserving more of your natural structure and providing a natural-looking result.
When you need a filling:
- Tooth decay or cavities
- Minor tooth fractures or chips
- Replacement of old, worn, or dark metal fillings
Periodontal (Gum) Disease Treatment
Healthy gums are just as important as healthy teeth. Gum disease affects nearly half of American adults and has been linked to heart disease, diabetes, and other systemic conditions.
Common signs of gum disease:
- Bleeding when brushing or flossing
- Swollen, red, or tender gums
- Persistent bad breath
- Receding gums or loose teeth
Our treatment options:
- Scaling and root planing (deep cleaning): Removes plaque and bacteria from below the gumline
- Periodontal maintenance: Ongoing care to keep gum disease under control
- Laser therapy: Minimally invasive treatment for infected gum tissue
Root Canal Therapy
When decay or infection reaches the inside of a tooth, root canal therapy may be necessary. Many people believe root canals are painful, but with modern techniques and anesthesia, the treatment is safe and comfortable. Dr. Boustany takes extra care to ensure you feel at ease throughout the procedure.
Why you might need a root canal:
- Severe tooth pain, especially when chewing
- Prolonged sensitivity to hot or cold
- Deep decay reaching the tooth’s pulp
- Swelling or tenderness in the gums
During a root canal, Dr. Boustany removes infected tissue inside the tooth, cleans the tooth, and then seals it. This treatment saves your natural tooth and prevents the need for extraction.

Cavity Prevention & Children’s Dentistry
We all know preventive care helps you avoid more extensive treatments.
Dr. Boustany can provide fluoride treatments and dental sealants to help protect against infection for both children and adults. We apply fluoride varnish after cleanings to strengthen enamel and prevent cavities. The American Dental Association recommends fluoride treatments for both children and adults.
Sealants are most effective when the molars are growing. Sealants are thin coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of molars. They protect the deep grooves where food and bacteria commonly get trapped. Sealants are most effective when applied around age 6 (first molars) and age 12 (second molars).

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I prevent gum disease at home?
You can prevent gum disease at home by practicing good daily oral hygiene. Brush your teeth twice a day with fluoride toothpaste to remove plaque. Floss once a day to clean between your teeth where a toothbrush can’t reach.
Eating a balanced diet and drinking plenty of water also support healthy gums. Avoiding tobacco products is important because smoking can make gum disease worse. Regular dental checkups and cleanings are another step to catching any early signs of gum disease before it becomes serious.
How often should I visit the dentist?
The American Dental Association recommends a checkup and cleaning every six months for most patients. Some patients with gum disease or other conditions may need more frequent visits.
Do you accept dental insurance?
Yes, we accept most major dental insurance plans. Our team will verify your benefits and explain your out-of-pocket costs before treatment begins. We also offer flexible financing options.
Are white fillings as strong as silver fillings?
Yes. Composite (white) fillings are durable and can withstand daily chewing pressure. They bond directly to your tooth, providing additional support. With proper care, they can last for many years.
What’s the difference between a regular cleaning and a deep cleaning?
Regular cleaning removes plaque and tartar above the gumline. A deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) removes bacteria from below the gumline and smooths the tooth roots, helping gums reattach. Deep cleanings are recommended for patients with gum disease.
Do you see children?
Absolutely. We provide dental care for patients of all ages, from toddlers to seniors. Early visits help children build positive associations with dental care and establish healthy habits.
